Haitian Pikliz



Ingredients:

1/4 shredded green cabbage

1 big carrot (julienne)

1 red bell pepper (finely cut)

4 Scotch Bonnet (or Habanero) peppers

1/2 red onion (finely cut)

5 garlic cloves (chopped)


Instructions:

In a big bowl mix all chopped vegetables with salt and pepper, let sit for 30 minutes. Place them in jar, cover with white vinegar and close tightly. Let the jars sit for 4-5 days at room temperature.
